Hamilton Avenue United Presbyterian Church was established in 1903 as the Second Italian Presbyterian Church. The church was located near the intersection of Hamilton Avenue and Rosedale Street in the Brushton area of Wilkinsburg. In 1960, the church merged with the First Presbyterian Church of Wilkinsburg, which was founded in 1866. In 1983, the First Presbyterian Church of Wilkinsburg merged with Edgewood Presbyterian Church, founded in 1891, to form the First Presbyterian Church of Edgewood.
