This presentation will explore the structure and recordkeeping that have been practiced in the mainline Methodist denominations through its 250 year history in North America.  Participants will be exposed to terms, hierarchical structures, and local church record keeping in ways that will inform their research approach to dealing with genealogical inquiries.
