Located at 3104 West Liberty Avenue in Dormont, Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church became a legal entity on November 8, 1917 as Bethany Lutheran Congregation of Dormont. A wooden chapel was erected on the site and was dedicated on May 4, 1919. The cornerstone for the currently existing church was laid on June 8, 1924.
