North Liberty United Presbyterian Church (Unindexed)

Grove City, Pennsylvania

April  11, 1854, petitions were present to Presbytery from Centerville (now Slippery Rock) and North Liberty asking for an organization of a church in each place. Though these two villages are only two and one-half miles apart. Presbytery appointed a committee to organize these churches in the 19th instant if the way is clear.  The committee reported at the June meeting of the Presbytery that “They had organized the church at Centerville and the congregation at North Liberty.”  This is the last reference of the organization of a congregation in the minutes of the Presbytery.  How long this congregational organization continued or how useful it was to the people there is no record.”

As some images are of double pages, be sure to not miss the second page.  Remember to also work on the right page when you finish the left page.  Also, if you can tell that the right page was not filmed, please make a note of books that may need to be refilmed (if they can be obtained) and email that information to digitize@wpgs.org.  Example: Part of one book for one of the churches was filmed as double pages and part just filmed as a single page, the right page is missing. This apparently had something to do with the sensor on the table.  Remember, depending on the size of the book, some books were filmed as single pages.
