Historical lecture by Dr. Miles S. Richards, President, Elizabeth Township Historical Society (ETHS). Presenting a talk on Simon Girty and the Turner Cemetery. Girty (1741-1818) was best known for serving as a liaison between the British and their Native American allies during the American Revolution. He originally served with the American forces but defected to the British side. He later fought with Native American tribes against American forces.
