Pittsburgh and World War I.   In honor of all Veterans on this day, this month's free program will be presented by Elizabeth Williams, author of the book Pittsburgh in World War I: Arsenal of the Allies. A historian and archivist, Williams traces the remarkable story of Pittsburgh during the Great War. She is a Pittsburgh native and worked at numerous local archives, including the Heinz History Center, the Andy Warhol Museum, Duquesne University, and most recently, La Roche College. She welcomed her first child in 2016 and has since focused on raising her daughter and conducting research for future projects. With the 100th anniversary of the U.S. entry into World War I this year, the program will also discuss resources available for research into your WWI ancestors.

Free and open to the public. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
