McAvoy Funeral Home, Pittsburgh, PA

The Edward J. McAvoy Funeral Home was located in the Uptown section of Pittsburgh from the early 1920s to about 1980. It was located at 1518 Forbes Street, initially, then moved to 1700 Forbes Street. Forbes Street officially became Forbes Avenue in 1958.

This 14 volume collection contains funeral records from 1924–1980, with 1 from 1981 and 11 from 1983. Each volume contains an alphabetical index at the beginning of the book indicating the page number of the Record of Funeral for the deceased.
