Description

The Superintendent of every coal mine in Pennsylvania was required to send to the Mine Inspector an annual report listing fatal accidents occurring within their district for the previous year.  This volume includes a summary of those published reports for the western bituminous counties of Pennsylvania for the years 1888 through 1897. Entries include the name of the deceased, date of accident, date of death, location of accident, his occupation, and age. Most include marital status and number of children. Coil bound. 124 pgs. Map.
