Official records in Buck’s Co. indicate that the original land ownership records for the Mahoning Valley were designated as “Beyond the Blue Mountain.” Northampton Co. was created with what was to become Mahoning Township located within its boundaries. In September of 1843 Mahoning Township became part of the newly created Carbon Co. This book is a genealogical resource for Mahoning Township, Carbon Co., Penn. It contains detailed Federal Census Reports back to 1790 including the Mortality and Agricultural reports. Mahoning Township Cemetery listings, Civil War Soldiers, and Northampton Co. tax lists for the Mahoning Township area are also included. Paperback, 469 pages. Condition: Good, but missing title page.
