Western Pennsylvania Genealogical Society welcomes proposals for its 50th Anniversary Conference: “Tracing Our Western Pennsylvania Roots: The Journey of Our Ancestors.” The conference will be held June 21–22, 2024, in Pittsburgh, PA, and virtually. Recordings of presentations will be made available to participants for 30 days. 

WPGS is seeking new presentations from dynamic speakers on the following topics: 

  • Immigration/Migration 
  • Western Pennsylvania Records and Repositories 
  • Methodology 
  • Western Pennsylvania Case Studies 
  • Writing/Organizing Your Research 
  • Religious and/or Ethnic Groups 
  • DNA in genealogy 

Other topics will be considered. Examples in presentations are encouraged to have connections to western Pennsylvania. 

Presentations should be 50 minutes, and allow 10 minutes for questions.
